Mission Statement

Rutgers Intelligent Transportation Systems (RITS) Laboratory is a multi-modal transportation infrastructure research and education facility combining a series of new concepts, technologies and services to integrate information, vehicles and transportation infrastructure to increase mobility, safety and comfort, and reduce energy waste and pollution. Rutgers FTA/TCC Graduate Fellowship for 2010-2011

Mr. Hong Yang, one of RITS lab Ph.D. students received highly competitive Rutgers  FTA/TCC Graduate Fellowship for 2010-2011. Hong is the 4th RITS student who received this prestigious award in the last 4 years. Congratulations!

Research team recognized by New York City Department of Transportation

Dynamic Route Guidance and Coordinated Traffic Control (DRG&CTC) Workshop

RITS Laboratory hosted Dynamic Route Guidance and Coordinated Traffic Control (DRG&CTC) Workshop sponsored by the National Science Foundation on June 7th and 8th.

Many leading ITS researchers attended and spoke at the workshop.


Prof.Ozbay's Talk at NJTPA

Professor Ozbay gave a talk at the NJ Transportation Planning Authority in Newark on Thursday, April 8, 2010. The title of his talk was: ITS: Discussion of Emerging ITS Technologies for Traffic Control and Safety".
